Member for Drummoyne, John Sidoti enjoyed a tour of the hospital’s redevelopment site, with works now underway.
Mr Sidoti welcomed enabling works contractor AW Edwards to the project. AW Edwards has established site offices and commenced works around buildings 60, 61 and 62 which will soon be demolished.
Concord Hospital’s acting General Manager Dr Genevieve Wallace said it’s great to see the progress of the redevelopment.
“We can now see construction site hoarding and construction vehicles on the campus as we progress toward demolition of buildings in the coming months.”
Mr Sidoti was pleased to see Stage 1 of the Hospital’s $341 million redevelopment taking shape.
The enabling works and demolition will continue for the reminder of year, allowing a clear footprint for the Stage 1 construction to begin early next year.
