Construction is underway on the new multi-storey carpark at Concord Hospital, which will provide more than 550 new spaces for patients, staff and visitors.

The five-level multi-storey carpark is being delivered as part of the $32.4 million carpark project at Concord Hospital.

The on-grade carpark which opened in June 2023 was also part of the project, providing 300 parking spaces for staff.

Part of a long-term strategy to improve the experience of visitors and staff at Concord Hospital, the project will improve access to health care services for the entire community.
 
The new carpark will include 10 accessible spaces, lift access and provision for future EV charging stations. Security features will include CCTV throughout the car park and multiple duress points on each level.
   
When complete, the new car parks will increase capacity on the hospital campus to more than 2,300 spaces.
 
Contractor Lipman has been appointed to deliver the project, which is expected to be completed by late 2024.
 
Further staff, consumer and community consultation will be undertaken to ensure that all patients, visitors, and staff are aware of the parking access changes and upgrades.
